What is Resin Bound (Stone Carpet) ?

Arab Crete Resin Bound (Stone Carpet) is a flooring solution made by mixing high-quality resin with carefully selected aggregates in a forced-action mixer. This creates an even mixture that is hand-trowelled onto the surface to produce a smooth, level, and seamless finish.

A Resin Bound surface is also known as Stone Carpet because of its natural stone appearance. It provides a decorative bound gravel that is durable, attractive, strong, and suitable for everyday use.

During the mixing process, small spaces are left between the aggregates, allowing water to pass through the surface. This makes Resin Bound Flooring a permeable paving solution. When installed over a suitable porous sub-base, it complies with SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) requirements, meaning planning permission is generally not required.
